As a maker in the luxurious position of being able to access raw materials in bulk from the hardware store around the corner or even on the world wide web generates the slow consequence of losing connection to time and space, right down to an appreciation of where certain materials come from and where they end up.

After researching for a year wax -the kind that is used in waxing salons- in my graduation work I explore my fascinations in a poetic way. My aim was to reflect on how our society deals with materials specifically the ones that has or had physical connection to human body. Cosmetic wax is used for peeling of hairs and mostly for aesthetic reasons. But what happens after when it fulfils it's purpose?
One of my graduation projects "L'Antre de l'Intimité" reflects on perceiving the "birth" of this alluring material inspired by Plato's cave allegory.
